Kathy's Korner --Resorts

A concerned member recently wrote in and asked if it might be a good idea to request a meeting with the Town Board to ask for an environmental review on the matter of Agritourism resorts. I thought the membership might be interested in my reply to her. Continued interest in this is essential as we suspect this idea will raise its ugly head again!

But right now the Town is taking no action to change the zoning to allow these resorts. Thus, they have no obligation to do a SEQRA (environmental) review. The law is clear though that if they try to resurrect this idea it will require such review and you can be certain the civics will make sure this will happen.
