Mike's North Fork Moment of the Month

One of the pleasant surprises for me after moving to the North Fork was how beautiful the potato fields are. Perhaps the workhorse of vegetables, the potato seemed an unlikely source of acres and acres of delicate yellow flowers filling some of the farm fields in the area during Spring and into Summer.
“Potato Blossoms” was taken on Reeves Avenue, a route I’ll frequently take instead of Middle Road because of its beautiful farm vistas. On this particular drive I was fortunate to be passing by just as an irrigation tractor was coming down the path, proving once again that in photography timing is everything.
