Mike's North Fork Moment of the Month

When Autumn sets in, for me - and I think many others - the consolation prize for the loss of warmer weather and longer days is the abundance of fall color. And as a photographer the only thing better than trees turning red, orange, and yellow is when they are reflected in still water.

This unusual little island in the Peconic River, just off Grangebel Park in downtown Riverhead, was putting on quite a show when I came across it in early November a couple of years ago.
