Spring can seem to take forever to really arrive on the North Fork. But when even the large trees begin to turn green you know it’s finally here. This photo, taken in May a few years ago from Pennys Road looking up towards Northville Beach, captures the early season’s cover crop in one field, another field ready for planting, and the new light green growth on the trees.
