As promised, I am back! This Saturday, April 22 from 10 am to 12 pm at the Suffolk Theater in Riverhead there will be a meeting about Riverhead's Comprehensive Plan Update. May sound a bit ho-hum but trust me it's not. Since 2003, this Town hasn't addressed in any planned-out way what it wants to become, how and where it wants to see preservation as well as development. And as we all know, our world has changed since 2003! For example, where and how many solar farms do we want? Where and what kind of warehouses do we want, if any? How many apartment complexes do we want? Where? What are the transportation needs in the Town? The list goes on.

This Saturday is the first of just two opportunities for you, the public, to interact with the consultants who are updating the plan. You can hear what they have done thus far, and you can tell them what you want to see happen in this Town. Your little piece of paradise may well depend on the update they produce!
