Kathy's Korner--water main extension meeting

On August 13th at 6:00 pm at the Riverhead Town Hall, Town Board meeting room, there will be an informational meeting on the Suffolk County Water Authority's proposed project to extend a water main from the Pine Barrens under the Peconic River, then along 105 to Northville Turnpike and then East along Sound Avenue to Southold. The pipeline will not benefit Riverhead but its construction definitely will impact Riverhead. There is also a propose pumping station on the west corner of Pier Avenue and Sound Avenue. This meeting is the place to learn the impact of that station on our neighborhood.
