Kathy's Korner--SCWA water line

Very quietly the Suffolk County Water Authority has scheduled public hearings on their water line project under the Peconic River along 105 to Northville Tpk and Sound Avenue to Southold. The hearing is about the "Monroe Balancing Test" to determine if Riverhead's zoning and permitting process should apply to this project or whether SCWA can ignore the Town's rules. In Riverhead the hearing is October 9th at 6 pm at the Riverhead Library. Attend if you want to be heard--Riverhead will get no water from the project but will have its roads ripped up for many months.
