Kathy's Korner--Resorts

The Town Board continues to work on a zoning code change that will allow 150 unit resorts north of Sound Avenue. They can have a restaurant to seat 375, pools, spas,conference rooms, and tenniis courts.

The Town Board recently met with the Southold Town Board at the request of Southold so they could learn more about Riverhead's plans. Riverhead's presentation is most interesting as are the questions from Southold trustees. You can watch at the link below. You need only hit the arrow in the upper left corner. Also, remember there is a public hearing on this code change at Riverhead Town Hall on 8/20 at 6 pm. Anyone with an opinion on these resorts will have the opportunity to speak at that hearing.
