Quick note as this corner will be quiet in June as I travel. Two hot issues are the cargo airport at EPCAL with a massive logistics/distribution center and Strong's yacht storage at Mattituck Inlet. On Facebook you can find an "EPCAL Watch" page with lots of info including meeting dates of the Town Board and the IDA (Industrial Development Agency which gives tax breaks and is currently handling the EPCAL deal.) There is also a "Save Mattituck Inlet" FB page with lots of info.

In fact, so many people wanted to comment on the draft environmental impact statement for the Strong’s Boat Storage project in Southold that a second date has been scheduled in order to continue the public hearing. It will be June 5 at 6 p.m. in Southold Town Hall, or you can send your comments in writing by July 10. Details: https://savemattituckinlet.com/
